INNER WEST — Council has voted 9–2 to install another rainbow crossing on a strip already described by residents as "a Pride march you can commute through."
Mayor Linda Cho called the project "infrastructure for joy, and also for Instagram," noting that the previous crossings had reduced homophobia by an unmeasurable amount but increased influencer foot traffic by 400%.
